Making an Application

Small grants are available to students to assist with the cost of musical education, including tuition fees, instruments, musical scores and books. 

Applicants may be of any age but must have lived or been educated in the Aylesbury Vale District Council administrative area for 2 years or more.  A reference from a relevant music teacher is required.

A total of £1,485 was paid out in grants during the 2016/17 year and applications for assistance with the cost of clarinet, singing and flute lessons, an opera course and Royal College of Music fees were approved

The Trustees meet termly to consider applications.

Application forms can be downloaded here and should be submitted by 15th February, 31st May or 1st October for consideration at that term’s meeting.

Applications are considered on their individual merits, taking all financial or other circumstances into account.

There is no fixed limit on family income.
