Making an Application

Small grants are available to students to assist with the cost of musical education, including tuition fees, instruments, musical scores and books. 

Applicants may be of any age but must have lived or been educated in the Aylesbury Vale District Council administrative area for 2 years or more.  A reference from a relevant music teacher is required.

Six different students benefited from the Trust in the financial year 2011-2012, with awards totalling £1,765 paid towards the cost of fees at the Junior Academy of the Royal Academy of Music, tuition fees for trombone and violin, and contributions towards the purchase of a piano and a trumpet.

The Trustees meet termly to consider applications.

Application forms can be downloaded here and should be submitted by 15th February, 31st May or 1st October for consideration at that term’s meeting.

Applications are considered on their individual merits, taking all financial or other circumstances into account.

There is no fixed limit on family income.
